What It Is

Rhino Aviation Preflight is a web application for some basic preflight planning. It combines aircraft-type setup, some aircraft-specific innformation, weight and balance, airport entry, weather refresh, runway-performance review, and RTF form generation.

The system calculates runway performance based on the airport, aircraft weight, current or forecast weather (depending on expected time at the airport, based on ETD and ETE), and the runway slope. This requires aircraft performance to be defined in the system.

V-speeds are provided by the app, and can be included in the generated. Where appropriate, these are weight-adjusted (e.g., VS0, VA, VGlide, etc.)
